A 19th century Oak small console or side table, with a heavily carved frame, on two bold cabriole legs and two straight legs. This was a very dark and heavy Victorian piece which we have lightened and jollied along to create a really attractive and stately piece for a hallway or living area.
The top, which has been sanded back and waxed to highlight its rich grain, is now a warm honey-colour (and shows some original fixing marks - please see photo). The carved base, legs and frame have been hand painted Olive, with the carving lightly distressed, and the whole has been waxed and beautifully buffed.
A genuine antique which has been given the Vintage treatment, the result is an elegant and timeless small piece which would look good anywhere either as a side table, but particularly as an attractive pocket-sized console table in the hall of a smaller home or flat.
