This space-saving elegant table is a rustic english piece which yearns to join the furniture aristocracy. Starting out in life as 19th century Oak table with barley-twist legs, it has been elevated to a lovely and opulent compact dining or accasional table to grace any residence.
The whole has been painted in a gentle dove colour (Sloan "Paris Grey") then waxed and gleamingly buffed, and hand-finished with a rich margin of gilding around the edge of the entire piece. It's a genuine antique so there is the odd crack in the woodwork, which we say give it character and have photographed clearly.
When folded with its flaps down, this piece would sit well against the wall of a flat or a kitchen and seat 2 for breakfast. When extended it is an ornate oval piece which would seat 4 to dinner or a game of cards.
