This wooden vintage Carpenter's tool tray, or organiser with carry handle is an attractive primitive industrial accessory, and an interesting piece of modern Socialist history. It came from the studio of Ian Homer Walters (1930 - 2006), the sculptor who is best-known for his works of Nelson Mandela - on the South Bank and in Parliament Square. His other works included busts of Harold Wilson and Barbara Castle.
It is an original piece and untouched by us, so still with original watermarks and the odd blue paintspot. You have the chance to use it yourself, or keep it for inspiration in toolshed, studio, kitchen or study. A piece with a popular Vintage look, with an exciting and genuine provenance.
