Wolf Hall Ebonised Chair

Here at Digger & Mojo we’re proud of Wiltshire’s fascinating history. Wolf Hall or Wulfhall was the Seymour family’s great medieval Manor house at Burbage where Henry VIII and Jane Seymour held their wedding feast. Hilary Mantel’s novels, and stage and TV adaptations are named for the building, of which sadly nothing remains.

In tribute we’ve designed the Wolf  Hall Chair  to match the fabulous Tudor costume of its “hero” Thomas Cromwell. This heavily carved Victorian Carolean style chair has been stripped, ebony lacquered and totally reupholstered with a new horsehair seat covered with darkest black velvet, and given a fur collar. Place it in your hallway and the memory of Mark Rylance's brilliant portrayal of Thomas Cromwell will always be present.

Another one-off design from Digger & Mojo, Pewsey’s furniture Emporium. We deal in Decorative Antiques, Vintage, and Retro  furniture. Expect the unexpected..
