The ultimate in glamorous dressing tables, this glitzy Art Deco number has been upcyled in black and silver with metallic tones and highlights. Tall and broad and with definite attitude, this dressing table would have been at home on a Hollywood Film set from the Golden era of movies. We can imagine the late great Lauren Bacall putting her make-up on in front of it.
The original triptych mirrors are in place, complete with striking black glass triangular detail to their bottom corners. Two low-lying slim shelves below the mirror and above the dressing table top also have matching pieces of this black 1930s glass - perfect for lotions and potions. The main body of the piece has been handpainted with Little Greene "Black Jack", while the drawers have been spraypainted with a contrasting pearlised black, and finished off with silvering of the original wooden typically Deco handles.
There is some foxing to the mirrors, particularly to the left side (see photos) and the odd wingding in the woodwork, as you would expect in a piece of this age. Vintage Hollywood Glamour - a characterful piece for an owner with character.
