A wonderfully unsual one-off side-table. This vintage wooden side table has an extraordinary top carved in an almost wheel-like shape, with a strip of brass inlaid into it in a circle. At 80.5cm tall, it is above the average height for an occasional table so its good looks are head and shoulders above the rest.
Its been completely restored and sanded, and painted in Annie Sloan "Graphite" which is a dark charcoal shade of grey. Its brass circlet has been relaid and in one or two places where it was missing it has been painted in brassy gold paint. The same shade of brassy gold has been used to highlight the balls of the sexy ball and claw tripod feet. Waxed and buffed to within an inch of its life, and then distressed in all the right places, it is now a wonderfully unusual table with the additional odd wingding, scratch and flaw to show off its character and its age.
This is a very versatile piece which would look good and blend into any vintage or contemporary setting.
