Painted Regency Traditional Chair

This Regency antique chair has been upcycled and brought up to the present day.  A genuine mahogany chair of the Regency period (when George III was reallly struggling and Prinny was in charge and indulging his passions for all things bright and beautiful), this lovely piece has been sanded down and painted in the subtle but warm grey/taupe tones of Sloan "French Linen" chalk paint.

 

After waxing and buffing, the original seat has been reupholstered in a very attractive and neutral chintz. She's now ready to roll into a home near you, where she would grace any room in the house, and at 200 years old is ready to just stand quietly somewhere and be independently lovely.
