Aubergine Chitengi Chair

This antique Arts and Crafts chair is a pretty shape and has been painted  Aubergine using a blend of chalk paint colours, and then waxed.

 

Its original vintage padded seat has been recovered in a fabulously busy traditional African Chitengi cloth, which tones brilliantly with the Aubergine paintwork. It would grace any bedroom, hall or study. A century-old design with a funky tribal twist.
