A Retro bureau from 50s and 60s furniture manufacturers Greaves and Thomas - G & T. This piece is part of their Put-U-Up range and has its original label on the back. It has a pull-down front which reveals its original red formica desk-top, and the shelves inside we have lined with a Zebra-stripe patterned fablon - a modern twist but very much in keeping with the 60s look. We've left the original varnished exterior woodwork as is, but have repainted the legs in a more stylish and 21st century matt black.

 

To top it off, we've added a brand-new Italian Red and Black tasselled key-fob to the original key which also acts as a handle. The end result is a great fun upcycled desk or cocktail cabinet.
