Authentic Victorian Clerk's chair in faux pine with painted high bar back with reinforcing brackets. This is a splendid example of the sort of chair once sat on by generations of 19th century clerks - think Bob Cratchit and Scrooge's staff in "A Christmas Carol". The frame is of painted faux pine and the top is of wonderful aged leather with marks, scratches and one small tear (see photos) to bear witness to its age.

It's a fab decorative antique piece - unusually tall of course - so would make a good bar stool, Director's chair or bedroom chair rather than a dining chair. See photos for a scale picture showing it with a regular Ercol chair.

It would look great in any vintage atmosphere but perhaps especially in a Warehouse/Urban/Loft setting,
