A simply glorious William IV mahogany chair to grace any Library or Study as a Desk or occasional chair, or a Dining room as a carver. This wonderfully handsome chair (no getting away from it - it's a Man's chair) dates from about 1830. It sports a shaped bar back in glorious mahogany with wonderful colour and patina above a central bar back splat. The deeply scrolled carved armrests yearn to be leant on and clasped. It has glorious lines with its turned front legs while the back legs are elegantly outswept.

It's amply-proportioned and we have rebuilt and entirely reupholstered its generously-sized drop-in seat in a neutral and natural Foy & Co plain-weave Beige linen - an incredibly hard-wearing fabric which will blend into any decorative scheme, whether joining other Antiques or acting as a Mahogany Statement piece #BringBackBrownFurniture.
